Wendy Thai

She brings extensive experience in patent law, with a focus on biotechnology, patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP transactions.

Prior to joining Eli Lilly, Thai served as senior IP counsel at Ginkgo Bioworks, where she supported a broad range of IP matters in synthetic biology. She also held roles as special counsel at McCarter & English and as a patent attorney in both private practice and independent capacities.

Earlier in her career, Wendy worked at Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner and began her IP career as a technology specialist at Fish & Richardson.
