Robin Weatherhead

Robin Weatherhead is vice president, IP and legal at Ventus Therapeutics, where she leads IP strategy and portfolio development across multiple discovery programmes and clinical-stage assets.

In her role, she oversees patent strategy, prosecution, transactional IP matters, and collaboration agreements, while managing relationships with third-party partners.

She brings more than 19 years of experience as a patent practitioner, with expertise in biotechnology and pharmaceutical IP. Her work spans biologics (including antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates), small molecules, formulations, polymers, and synthetic chemistry, as well as trademark prosecution in pharma and digital health. She has experience managing global patent portfolios, including Orange Book-listed products, as well as handling post-grant matters such as oppositions, supplementary protection certificates (SPCs), and patent term extensions (PTEs).

Prior to Ventus, Weatherhead held senior in-house roles at Genentech and AbbVie.
